Mafia Game #3.5 - Sign Ups

While chairdriver is working on the "DIY Mafia" game, I thought that I'd do another one. I haven't decided 100% on a theme (I was thinking Sci-Fi characters), so is there any suggestions?

I'll copy this from another thread:

Mafia games require commitment. If you are thinking about dropping out, don't even bother signing-up. You will ruin the game for everyone if you don't participate properly. You'll have to check up on your PMs and the game thread every day, so if you have dodgy internet or a hectic social live, don't bother signing up.

Edit: I've decided on sci-fi characters. I've got some good roles sorted out.

I'd love to do something pirates themed, with the Mafia and Police gangs replaced with bands of pirates and Royal Navy squadrons tearing it up in the Jamaican islands.
