Mafia Game #4 - Sign-Ups

[chairdriver]

For the fourth mafia game, I'm going to run a "DIY Mafia", where everyone gets to choose as they play as. Players can choose to be any character from anything. You can be from a film, a book, a comic, real life, mythology, anything.

If you wish to play, post in this thread.

Once you have posted here, please PM me with a character you would like to play as (or multiple choices, incase your choice can't really be done).

I will then make up the powers for your character.


Remember:

- Once you've chosen your character, keep it a secret. This game only works if everyone can keep their role a secret.

- Try not to choose a character everyone knows you love. For example, if the member Dante was to choose to play as Dante, everyone would immediately know who he was.

- Mafia games require commitment. If you are thinking about dropping out, don't even bother signing-up. You will ruin the game for everyone if you don't participate properly. You'll have to check up on your PMs and the game thread every day, so if you have dodgey internet or a hectic social live, don't bother signing up.

The choice of characters so far is quite varied which is cool.

I wiki them, and generally research them.

And then if I'm still at a loss as to who they are, I PM you and ask for a different choice.

Thats partly why I'm asking for multiple choices.

Oh, and I was thinking the same about the awards! Chairdriver deserves, if anything, ad honourary award, perhaps "for outstanding contributions of time and effort towards the community spirit". :smile:

I just sent him a list of characters, that way it's more exciting finding out which one he chooses for me, and what powers the person has. I know which one I want though...

And even though I wasn't even in the last game, it kept me coming back every day. Awesome work, you'd get my vote any day chair.

I've always wanted to play and I was going to sign up but then I realised I have an Oxford interview next Sunday through to Wednesday. Still, it's always fun reading the thread, even if you don't really know what's happening all the time.

Damn right. It's lucky the good team did as well as they did last time, we had at least a couple of people who had characters with awesome and incredibly helpful powers, but didn't play because they couldn't be bothered or didn't get the character they wanted. :angry:
