That's right, the new futurama "movie" is airing sometime in the next week, apparently in American theatres, i don't know about the UK.
Anyway it's also already available if you look in the right places.

Futurama was funny sporadically, but too inconsistent to be worthy of the legacy of the Simpsons, or even come close to Family Guy. Too many in-jokes and too much internet humour meant that it was largely inaccessible.

I am a huge fan of Futurama and it pains me to say this.

A pre-release version is floating around on the net, if you look hard enough you'll find it. So don't bother PMing me.

Its awful. The jokes aren't funny, the plot is confusing at best and annoying at others, you really start to hate some characters, it doesn't follow on from the final episode, the animation is all over the place in terms of quality and over all its really, really bad.

I'm not joking. Anyone expecting quality of what was in the last few seasons before the 2 year gap is in for a shock.

I totally disagree with Jordan, I thought Benders Big Score was brilliant and I encourage any Futurama fan to watch it. Spoken to a few other people who have watched it aswell and they also loved it.

Though I'm not expecting Bender's Big Score to set the world on fire (being, after all, an amalgamation of all their left over material after being initially cancelled), it sounds like we should at least wait until it's completed post production before making any final judgements.

If you watch the end credits you will see that it is 4 episodes strung together, bit like the family guy movie.
We watched it last night and both my GF and I thought it was absolutely amazing.
Still a great watch can wait for the other 3 movies to come :)

So i watched all of it. At first i was a bit worried i wouldn't like it (first 20 mins or so) but i feel for me it picked up. And i really enjoye it in the second.. 2 thirds.

Saw big score eariler....it was alright was just like a normal episode but longer was good but nothing special.

I thought it was very enjoyable, both in terms of plot and humour. Eagerly anticipating the next one.

My gf is a huge, huge Futurama fan and liked the fact it cleared some of the backstory up. I've always "not really minded" it. The plot was infinately better than numerous time travelling films and was indeed quite enjoyable.

Can't say it will set the world on fire though. Futurama is still an aquired taste in my opinion. Good fun though. Just don't sit down expecting this to blow you away. We should all have learnt that from the Simpsons Movie :heh:

I just finished watching it. It was awesome! I've never laughed at a futurama episode so much. The ending was also brilliant.:yay:
