Yeah, if this report here (http://www.cnn.com/2005/US/10/28/mistaken.suicide.ap/index.html) is anything to go by, then it just proves that some people can really be stupid. How the hell could someone make such a mistake!?

Your question was how the hell can someone make such a mistake. You make it sound like they did it on purpose. That doesnt sound very realistic.

Probably a pretty easy mistake to make.
Americans tend to go over the top with holiday decorations, and I'm sure some of them have had something similar over the years.

It's a bit more believable considering it happened just before Halloween. Depends if she stuck out blatantly or blended into the decor of her surroundings.

yeah thats true. some guy in New Jersey spent like $2,000 or $20,000( something like that) on Halloween decor for his house. Im not suprised, people do go over the top just for a scare, so im not blaming them.
