Thought I would carry on the thread from previous forum. Just preordered it last night from vgp. Cant wait to get it.

Anyone else excited ?

I am I am! Ive had mine on order since it appeared on VGP :D The screens of this look very interesting (and a lot more gory than I thought it would be). Im not that excited about it right now - too many other games out soon - but it looks perfectly suited to the DS and should be pretty enjoyable.

Now to finish some of the games I actually have....

Has the 4th of October date been confirmed or is it just speculation by VGP?

Locky
16-09-2005, 06:56 PM
Yep, I'm excited about it! :)

I preordered mine from VGP at the beginning of September. How much did you have to pay? I used Paypal and it converted at £22.04. Not sure if it was a good idea to use Paypal or not - hope it doesn't get released for cheaper than it is now on preorder!

Wonder if/when it will get released in the UK?

craig

I paid the handsome sum of £21.68. Thats with delivery of course.
I think the release date has been 4th October for a while.

They should include a blood splattered stylus to get you in the mood.

I'm getting it also! I don't think it matters what price it is when you preorder, because i'm sure VGP change the price to what it should be and you pay that, although i might be wrong!

It's out 4th October 2005 in the USA, so both VGP and Ebgames state. Lets hope it stays that way!

The DS games are coming in thick and fast from September 27th 05 (Lost In Blue) so i better get my stylus ready for some action!

Locky
17-09-2005, 11:38 AM
If you pay by credit card you don't have to pay until it's released if you select that option: "PREORDER NOW PAY LATER".

I paid by Paypal because I don't have a credit card so I had to pay straightaway.

Not that it really matters how much it costs - still cheaper that when it comes out in the UK!

Jeah same, but it's just a matter of what bonus is added on to the original game. Import = a bonus early play time. PAL = bonus stars.

RedShell
07-10-2005, 09:04 AM
PAL = bonus stars.
That used to bother me too, but I started importing DS games and now I don't think I'll go back to buying PAL, unless I'm forced to (Mario Kart DS & Animal Crossing) because of some stupid having to register to play online thing.

Anyway I've used the majority of my stars in the catalogue already on the Zelda disk and Pokemon Box :indeed: so I've only got a few left now.

Locky
07-10-2005, 09:14 AM
Is Trauma Center a game that is likely to have VIP stars? I thought it was just Nintendo made games?

I try and visit the Nintendo site every day and that soon adds up the points!

dazzybee
07-10-2005, 10:12 AM
Its just nintendo games. What bothers me is if I want to sell the game afterwards - PAL games are worth more than USA ones, if I keep the game no problem.....

But I aint waiting that long to get it :) Spent FAR too much money lately so I'll wait, get it around Xmas probably

Locky
10-10-2005, 01:28 PM
Hmm, I've heard a few bad things about the magnifier being unresponsive and how awkward it is to use. Have a look on the GameFAQs messageboard for a few tips on how to draw circles:

craig

Its broken, it just does not work. It said to make a quick small circle to zoom and it took me at least twenty attempts to get it. Even worse to try and zoom back out again.

Domstercool

Never had a problem with the magnifer at all. I just draw a quick small circle.

Johelian
10-10-2005, 05:20 PM
In the manual it shows you the "right" way to draw a circle; for some reason (for me anyway) it will only recognise a circle that goes clockwise. I got stuck on that bit for a while too.

Im stuck on a stage where you need to remove nebules or something from some guys veins - they keep getting pushed along by the bloodstream and killing him. Oh well.

IGN said this, but i didn't have a problem at all, i drew a circle and it worked, then i drew one again and it worked. I passed that mission on my second time!

This is strange, i definately went clockwise though!

I am on the stage where the patient has multiple aneurysms on the stomach. I am just not quick enough to get them all before they burst. Even when slowing it down with the Healing Touch .

Johelian
12-10-2005, 10:21 PM
Craig, Im on that level and I cant even get him to use the Healing Touch! The nurse suggests that I use it, I draw about a million stars...all in vain. What am I doing wrong?!

I think so - but is there supposed to be a line to show you the outline of the star? I try drawing it, but nothing appears onscreen to recognise what Im doing. Should I have something in particular in my hand when I try and draw it?

No, I just click on the the hand twice. First time you choose the hand and the second time it changes to use to draw the star. The icon should change from the hand to the star.

You dont get the outline of the star on the screen and I have drawn some very disturbing looking stars and it has worked fine.

I was thinking more along the lines of when you first learn that you have the "Healing Touch", and while you practice it follows the movements of the stylus with a yellow line...I didnt get anything like that when I tried to do it on the stupid aneurisms.

Did you take a look at the Atlus walkthrough I posted earlier? That's quite useful - tells you how to go about things.

Anyone who hasn't got this game yet had better hurry up and order it - I was having a quick hunt on the Internet and I can't find it on Yes-Asia or CD-WOW, it's on backorder on VGP, which sounds ominous!, and it's £33.77 at Lik-Sang! It's out of stock in a lot of other places too and knowing Atlus they probably won't release any more, despite the game being so popular.

The game is available at Play-Asia for £22.59 and you could always try eBay.

I was going to order it today, and it was nowhere to be found...

The game will probably get a second pressing (I know Atlus' reputation, but even Riviera got a second pressing; but if it's like that game, it may take 2 months for that second pressing to be available, so there's probably no more copies for 2005), but I wanted to pick it up now.

I just got trauma center, and I must say, It deserves better than the 8's it gets.

The usage of the stylus is one the better ones I have played, nothing clumsy inserted into the game (castlevania) but really the center of the game.

Must be like the first game in ages that I actually failed on the first mission, basicly an introduction.

Really fun to play.

Just thought I'd let people know that it's going for a bargain £9.97 at Tesco online! Not sure if it's going cheaper anywhere else but sounds good to me!

Always wanted to get it and esp with that price tag but with 4 new 360 games to keep me going as well as zelda and wii sports I don't know if I'll have the time for it! Oh yeah, and there's general money saving for bills to think about...

God damn this time of year!
