In Norway, I pay 550 - 600 NOK (101- 110 US dollars) for a ps3 game. Normally I can't import games because of two reasons: region encoding, and toll fees. The limit is 200 NOk (36 US dollars) for importing stuff in Norway. (So I do import cheap DS games.) I've found a website that let's me import games, by letting you choose what pricing to be displayed on the package. Thus, I can import ps3 games!

I've found these super deals:

Folklore - English/Chinese Version (AS)
US$ 48.90 (£24.35) (256 NOK)
PS3
Game Genre: Adventure
Release Date: 19-Sep-07
Format: Region Free (?)
Language: English, Chinese
Publisher: SCE

or:

Avaliable for Pre-order

I don't know how the import laws are in your country, but I hoped someone else would need this information! Thanks to the forums at gamer.no for the information!

Yes, but whenever I've ordered from VG+ to Sweden, it has been marked as a gift, so I've never had to pay any import taxes.

They have never marked games as gifts when I order from them, but they always write the price as 20 CAD(10 GBP), and I doubt any custom limit is lower than that. You don't have to ask them to do it(like Play-Asia) or do anything like that. They do it for you.

I'd be concerned if I was as I don't own a car, though I did seriously consider the question for a split-second... :blank:

Those damned adverts get inside your head. :heh:

I'd like to know if UK game prices are significantly different from mainland European Euro prices?

Not significantly... anyway £39.99 is a reasonable price to pay for a game if it's particularly amazing but for everything else that is merely good / passable then it's best to just wait a few weeks for the price to drop, that way the cost isn't so much of an issue. :)
