Steam help

Hey guys if anyone could help me resolve this I would be so grateful. Basically when I try and run any steam game online. It gets to requesting server info and just freezes. Yet I can play other games online and can see the list of servers on steam it even dls voice things. Anyone have any idea at all? I turned off my firewall and reinstalled steam already :(
