The Union Room

Do you need friend codes to play with other people in the union room? in the manual it suggests that you can meet random people in there but whenever i go in there is only me there. Have i totally misunderstood it?

The union room is local play only, you'll need someone with a DS and one of the Pokémon games near you who is also in the union room to be able to play. It's not online.

played it with darksnowman the other week and if you have a friend with pokemon use it! cause as tellyn! says its for local play!

It is awesome, much better than Colloseum, I always use it when I play with friends. :)

Can i only trade, battle etc online with people i have friends code for? EG all the people on the list on this forum.

you can trade using friendcodes
but you can also trade worldwide using the Global trade center
