I played the GameBoy Micro at work today, we just got a demonstration unit in, and well, I loved it. All the fears I had about it were proved to be unfounded. It's not to light, it isn't too fiddly and the screen is really impressive. I love the way the start and select buttons glow blue as well. It was the silver version so I don't know if other colours have different coloured buttons. The only problem is that the sound is too quiet, I could barely hear it and the store was empty at the time. Although there is a headphone socket which is an improvement over the SP.

So yeah, it is a very impressive console, and although its a rehash, its a quality rehash.

I also played a GB Micro at work today, far more hand-friendly then I imagined. Still wouldn't buy it cause I havea DS, but nice all the same. The illuminated Start and Select buttons impressed me.

So it feels alright? No problems? Prehaps I should buy this next year.

I LOVE my famicom GBA Micro! When it was first shown, i thought, whats the point? but the minute you actually hold it and play on it, it's just MILES better then any other GBA.

Shame there about £80 though, a tad expensive, either way buy it if you have any spare cash!

They look so cool! :hehe:

can it play Gameboy(normal big carts) games? unlike the ds, which cant. it would be good if it could cos then i could get ne, and replace my GBA.

Yeah, its strange though, the poster image of it (even the small ones in the corner) is far bigger than the real thing.

I always thought It was a sexy little unit, although Its not really worthy of a purchase unless you have really small pockets, otherwise I'd always take my DS

Although I do have quite a collection of GBA games, the fact GBM wont play the old games i've got has put me off. Although it would be great if it did play old games, I guess Nintendo have already got enough backwards compatibility with old Gameboy games (GBA, GBASP GBP).

Micro is a sexy machine, I just wont buy it for quite some time. I definitly will be buying it next year though, since it is a very well designed portable.

My girlfriend got me one for my birthday (here in the US) and I love the damn thing. Like Owen said when it was shown I had no intrest and thought it was stupid, but when you play it and hold it it's quite nifty. Even though I love my DS this is a thousand times more portable and convienent, have you ever tried playing a stylus based game in a moving vehical? It doesn't work.

The screen is so sharp, and it's small, but not too small. It's perfect just to throw in your pocket like a cell phone.

Oh yeah, the start/select buttons only light up when it's charging or when you first turn it on / unless the battery is dying - then they stay red.

Same here. My girlfriend got me one for my b-day and I love this thing! I can't put it down. It's awesome because if I only want to play GBA games, I don't have to carry around the huge DS. I have no complaints about it and now that I've played it, I probably would have bought it myself had I not recieved it as a gift!

I didn't realise that the GBM couldn't play old GB titles, that definately is a let down. I still play Tetris now.....

Tetris was the only reason I kept my GBA (also, it was scratched alot and I doubt I'd of got much money for it.)
