One way:

the other way:
http://www.gameshout.com/news/042005/article711.htm

Both ways alow you to play Full Ds games that are downloaded from the net

I hope this dosen't hurt game sales :/

The only good new is that this is one step closer to Tunneling DS games.

Saying that though, how many people have successfully been able to get a game from the cart onto a computer.. If that happens, then we're gonna get piracy just like we have with the GBA.

All ds games can be downloaded on the net. It's easy if you know where to look.

And? The Neoflash has been out for a while, as has the M3 adapter with Passkey. They are still expensive pieces of kit, and so is the Supercard with Superpass.
The wifi download system cannot do full games - it can only do games coded for it, and to run non-official games, you need to flash your DS.

You dont need a flashed DS any more. Tim has found a way to send Homebrew and games with the RSA encrytion. And you can use a GBAmp or flashcard. so this is new and bad news.

The "new" way you are talking about is WifiMe, which is just a wireless passme. It just loads up the code on the GBAmp/flashcard.

WEll.. yes.. but you don't need a flashed DS to do it anymore

How many people actually use Flashcards to play GBA games, I don't know anyone. There isn't many too be honest, the only concern from this is bootleg games, and serious gamers should know to avoid these.

I think the major worry will come when you can play the dreaded ROMs on your computer. Thats when we need to start worrying that sales may decline.

You sure are a quick one aren't ya? :p

This has been possible for months now...

The new red Dses were hack proof for at least 1 day, then a new passme was developed. You can't stop pirating on any system, period.

I would say the 'Cube was a minor success against pirating.

Some ones actualy broken the RSA encryption on the DS? theres something I dont believe about that...

The second one is good news, it allows for homebrew development. The first one is just piracy though, but it was bound to happen some day.

That news was pre E3. It is not possible to run homebrew code from WiFiMe without first installing the new firmware.

OMFG.. This is what i'm trying to say.. NOW IT IS POSSIBLE!

Tim Schuerewegen has announced that he has managed to succesfully hack the DS's "Download Play System". This will allow a wireless computer to send code directly to any Nintendo DS with download play activated, this will remove the need for a "Pass Me" (see below).
This will be of great benefit to the homebrew community as it will make testing games a lot easier, the downside is that it will also allow pirated games to be played on the system.
Here are a couple of video clips of it in action.
Running Mario (3.13Mb) (http://www.ds-scene.co.uk/downloads/wmb-mario.wmv)
Running Homebrew Code (2.87Mb) (http://www.ds-scene.co.uk/downloads/wmb-passme.wmv)

Aren't people ignorant.

Would it be possible to use the new online service for this? If so, then Nintendo may, say, do something about it?

There's nothing new there. Both of those videos are 6 months old at least. It is not possible to wirelessly send homebrew code to a DS. It is however possible to send the mulitboot code that will run homebrew code off a cart in the GBA slot.

However it has always been able to do this. That's what it was created for before being used to send demos.

Nothing has changed!

Take your DS and try downloading somthing like WinDS and try runing on a Unmoded DS dose it work? NO!

But by changing som small bits of info Developers kan now make homebrew games work on unmoded DS's with downloadplay.

If you still dont under stand i give up.

I've looked but I can't see anything to prove you right. All the links about wifime that you've posted are months old. They show nothing of what you are saying.

Got any links to a program that I can send wirelessly to my DS and run?

Tiz

With wifime you would have to start the game up with your computer anyway and that defeats the purpose of portable gaming a bit.. People will use something like that for testing and not much more. The superpass thing is different though.

DiemetriX...

I dont really get what you are "screaming" about either.. its is all old news.

3 months ago in July i got my DS, I then on that day sent over WiFi (Tom's small program) and that program loaded a flasher-program that I had flashed on a gba-flashcart, and I reflashed the DS so I could use homebrew on gba-cart.

That was made on a DS that had not been modified, 3 months ago, and I was not first to do so, many had already months before me done the same.

SuperPass, Passme, FlashMe, WiFiMe are all the same stuff in diffrent costumes.

WRG-LoadMe v1.0

WRG have released a new born DS loader. Now you can play lots of DS game with any old generation gba flashcart if you own a passme/flashme. This loader supports more then 90% clean dump and 90% sram save patch.

quote:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Usage*
1.Run loadme.exe.
2.Open or drag&drop a nds/ids (Yes,iQue DS rom can run
on Nintendo DS now, no ONLY FOR iQue DS screen
anymore) file on the programme.
3.Click Apply Loader.
4.Burn the output.gba to your flashcart and enjoy.

*Option explanation*
Data Reading:
These are 2 different data reading code for the
loader, choose one as you wish, both mode should
work as the same feature.

Sram Patch:
If your DS is the old one that support
normal passme, use the default one (save to 0A000000)

If your DS is the new one with the new version
firmware such as iQue DS, you have to select
another one(save to 0A001000).Cos' the new
passme code need 4K bootstrap code placed in
SRAM, so 0A000000 ~ 0A000fff is used for this
bootstrap code.
