Its just, well it might be a scientific achievement - but it really serves no purpose.

This is the first step to having our bodies full of nanites Jake 2.0 style. Maybe these would have a medical use if further developed?

If you were being sarcastic.....
"We'd eventually like to move objects and do work in a controlled fashion on the molecular scale, and these vehicles are great test beds for that," said James Tour, a Rice University research who co-led the work. "They're helping us learn the ground rules."

More likely to loose your No Molecules Bonus.

Thats well crazy.
Edit:
Just to add after reading it, how could the possibly ever use anything so small, surly there would be no way to controll the thing. And the would probaly lose the thing. You would be scared to sneeze near the thing, from fear of sending it into orbit.

thats spammage at it pure and utter worst :|
on topic, could u imagine a big (well...er...ok) factory or sumthin of these things, billions and billions of them moving stuff round, pretty strange! would be very interesting to see what medics can do with these when they get improved and developed

That car is very small. I wonder if i can have a road trip in it lol jks.
Eventually the researchers want to build tiny trucks that could carry atoms and molecules around in miniature factories.
what is the use of that?

I appolagise for this but:
Are you blind?????

No i am not blind, i was asking as to why scientists would want to move molescuels and atoms around with a car?

I don't know. Maybe it would help organise things?
basically, it could be used to cure diseases and stuff. The buckyballs can contain other atoms and stuff. I forgot the principe, but i'll look it up and stuff.
