Firstly, I'd like to say that the forum mods have been really good on these boards, especially at keeping unecessary threads down to a minimum, and moving threads which aren't in the right area.
However, taking the Xbox threads in the 'other consoles' board as an example, I'm finding that some of the official threads are a little too all-encompassing. I understand the reasoning behind them - try and avoid 100 threads all called "Xbox 360" with a message of "What do you guys think? I really like it!", but on the other hand, some of the more massive threads end up meandering across many topics.
That's my gripe really - if you come onto a thread like this fresh, which can be as much as 9 or 10 pages long, you have to basically read the entire thing, even with old, irrelevant posts, to understand what the topic thread is about. Whilst some consolidation of similar threads is definitely fine, perhaps the careful (re)naming of some threads would be a better way of ensuring there's little overlap in topics? For example, lumping a lot of the general X360 game discussion with hardware features and launch date speculation seems a little bit O/T/T.
Having said all this, what we have now is definitely neater than what we had before, so please don't think I'm having a go ;P
