Lucasarts will be bringing the sequel to Thrillville to the Wii. The original Thrillville was a game in the style of a theme park manager. This title is slated to hit the Wii sometime this October.

Meant to be not too bad...gamerankings averages are around 70%. remember Edge giving in 7/10 and thinking it was alright...

If Edge gave it 7/10 it must be pretty good. Edge are notoriously harsh when reviewing games.

Sounds good. We need more strategy games for the Wii.

Ask and thou shalt receive....

Here's IGN's summary of the first game:

Visit Thrillville for a nonstop party in a theme park you create. Thrillville lets you experience a fully interactive and customizable amusement park where you can play dozens of midway minigames, interact with your park guests, and even build and ride roller coasters and over 100 attractions. Out on the midway, you can jump on your rides for real gaming experiences, racing on go-kart tracks you put together and playing mini-golf on courses you designed and joining friends for dozens of four-player party games, from bumper cars to arcade shoot-'em-ups. You can also tour the park on foot, chatting and joking with all the guests to help them out and make sure they're enjoying themselves.

So looks like a more interactive Theme Park where you can be a punter as well....

EDIT:

interestingly it is made by Frontier Developments, who are the same people who brought us Rollercoaster Tycoon 3.

I was maybe considering buying it after Ive exhausted RCT2, but the thing is when my friend got it when it came out I thought they ruined it.

Is it any good?

The game required some serious hardware, expecially at night.

Im trying to get into it, but i cant just yet....the layout and the buttons and such are so horrible compared to RCT2.

Its cool though, Ill do it when Im bored with 2.

I agree with you, Rezourceman, RCT 3 is much poorer than it's predecesors. The interface is harder to use, there are many things that aren't in it that RCT 1 and 2 had, and I felt also it was a lot more boring.

ReZourceman

Id probably go as far as to say the interface is one of the worst Ive seen. Also its not as responsive which is a bit horrible.

LucasArts have finally confirmed it:

http://www.n-europe.com/news.php?nid=10744

LucasArt's Thrillville sequel will be heading to both Wii and DS...

LucasArts today confirmed that Thrillville: Off The Rails will be heading to DS.

The Thrillville games are theme park simulators which features over-the-top rollercoasters ingeniously titled "WHOA Coasters". Players can build these “WHOA Coasters” to leap from one track to another, launch through the air like cannonballs, blast through burning rings of fire and more.

Off The Rails also features an 100-mission long story mode, and guests are more important than they used to be. In-depth conversations between guests both advance the plot and suggest better ways to manage the park, however, some guests may actually be from the rival park Globo-Joy who may attempt to sabotage Thrillville parks with deceptive information.

As if the Wii didn't have enough of them, the game will also feature - you guessed it - 34 minigames based on theme parks which will be playable in the multiplayer mode.

Thrillville: Off The Rails will be developed by Frontier Developments for Wii and DC Studios for DS. The game will also appear on the X-Box 360, PS2 and PSP.
