OMFG
I bring forth terrible news. The screen of my DS is broke. A certain part has like a dark smudge, and there's a fracture-line through it, and a smaller one below it. If you press the back of the DS, you see the colours coming out.
I have no clue how this happened, it's always been in my inner jackpocket or in my schoolbag. And even weirder is, when I had noticed it, I went to a store to get something, and while getting on my bike, the DS fell out of my jackpocket on the stone floor, and it didn't even have a scratch.

Now, I can't check this cause I'm at my dad's house, but do I have some sort of guarantuee for my DS. Can I send it back and get a new one?

I got mine with the special VIP-packet from Nintendo Europe if you wanted to know, it cost me stars, 190 euros but at least I got i before the release date.
(kekeke I have a DS T-shirt ^^)

What to do to replace my broken Ds with a new one?

If you have a VIP DS (just like me, w00t, *high 5*) then you are still able to send the dS back to NoE and they should replace it but then, if I was you I would rather get a new white DS or wait for the other colours but then, that will put you back another £90 or so. :P

Well, for starters, the guarantee does not cover accidental damage, I'm afraid. Unless guarantees in Belgium work differently.

Basically you've cracked the actual LCD itself, the impact shock has obviously passed through a vulnerable point on the system when you dropped it. You're best bet is to contact your local Nintendo branch and see if they do a repair/replace, I believe in the UK it costs around £30-35, not brilliant but still cheaper than buying a new one.

buy another one?

The sexy red Mario Kart edition would be my choice!

Well, and don't want my friends who are all PSPfanboys to find out about this, cause then I'll have to hear anout it for the entire schoolyear.

I doubt there's a nintendo-repair shop around here :s

then wtf does it cover?
It covers manufacture defects that Nintendo is responsible for. Things such as dead pixels. Or my old DS wouldn't charge anymore, not even after we put my GF's battery in it. So I had to get it repaired, and they did it for free.

You call up Nintendo (the number should be on the back of the DS) and you mail it to them. They'll have it back to you ASAP.
