Isn't it going to be a much more "toned-down" E3, can't remember what they're calling it, but if there are still as many play-tests, big announcements and interviews I'll be happy!

e3 was a ridiculous media circus. It clearly stopped being of any use to anyone a while back- this year events like GDC will be more important.

It was unexplained, and there were rumours going round that the Wii unveiling was the reason.

there were rumors about sony and EA having the shits about the press, bot getting enough (postive) publictity. they would spend so much money, time getting everything ready and show time comes, and it was all for nothing.

There is however the Electronic Media and Press Event and that will be in july along with the press conferences.

E for All, I think got dropped as hardly anyone wanted to attend, from developers.

I know how you feel, my birthday is in May too. E3 was a nice birthday present from the gaming industry... sort of, lol. This new E3 does sound crap though. :/

Well it does take time out of the development cycle to create a game, plus it was getting rediculus the amount of money spent on each booth
