Sweet!
But it doesn’t mention anything about the registration process in order to get the code you need for online play, something that I think will be exclusive to the region you buy the game in, unfortunately.

it will all depend on whether you will use one code for all games when you first register a game then it would be ok cause we get mario kart first, so get the euro version of that and use the same code for AC, but then again it may use a different code for each game which could be a problem.
If you have one code for you, not specific to a game or DS then it will act like an account for each person logging their progress through each game etc which would seem better to me, but whether you could play a US game with a euro code is the question, or you might have to have a code for US and one for EURO, who knows?

I will wait for the EU version just to be sure - most games are anyways 5 in 1 language so I can enjoy the mostly better english version translation for the UK.

Can't wait for that game hehe ....

I was importing it regardless. No ways am I waiting to play this. Its what I bought a DS for.

We had speculated in a previous thread that it wouldn't be an issue.

I won't make a decision on importing or not until this is made 100% clear, which will hopefully be by the time Mario Kart DS comes out over here.

I ran a for 2 months an online series of Animal Crossing TV shows, filmed in my AC village that caused an ISP to introduce limits on its free space bandwidth.

I'm damn well importing.

I still pre-ordered it a while ago just incase the US version is ok in europe, mario kart will show us the way I'm sure someone will import to let us know! some one, anyone?

Sorry, I meant that we get mario kart before animal crossing ie mario kart is the first wifi game in europe.

The mario kart info on ds-x2 says that by playing LAN that a friends ID will be added to the friends list, so it looks like you'll get a code for each game.
Plus wouldn't the DS US games still search for a code from the US servers even if you were in another country?

But stupid if it didn't work, cos that would make worldwide online a laugh.
