Doesn't need to when you have Lumines.

Online doesn't really bother me that much on handheld, it will be fun to play people on here, but at the end of the day it's not a major factor in buying a game for me. I would still buy Mario Kart even if it wasn't online.

How many of the DS titles mentioned are MMORPGS? i couldnt see one. that is what the ds needs. it would offer something a bit different for those of us who are yurning for one. i hate sony so i wouldnt even think about the PSP.

PSP isn't online either (at least as far as I'm aware of) - apparently it's still in it's testing phase. Very much looking forward to DS online play, coming very shortly.

I don't even think Monkey Ball's online. Though i think that new game from the Killer 7 people is online.

Would anyone mind enlightening me as to how the PSP online service works, cause I don't know whether i'll bother if it's too difficult.

Are those games confirmed? Castlevania, isn't that out already? it's not online.

I can't beleive such a stupid and pointless comparison has been brought up here.

Each platform has such a vastly different business plan, that it's impossible to compare.

^^I concur, and what was the point of the 'we win-end' thing at the end.

Whoever originally made this thread is such a fanboy....

It's a new Castlevania, like a new bomberman.

And the game from Killer 7 is called Contact, and thats an RPG, online.

Not true at all. The business plans may be 'slightly' different but they're still the two biggest competitors in their market and as such can easily be compared. Especially over the issue of online games.

Give me Metroid and Mario Kart online and I'm sold (as long as Metroid includes an online pictochat funtion GODDAMN YOU NINTENDO LISTEN).

But that business plan involves totally different timeframes for when each companies respective online services actually become fully operational.

Nintendo on one hand is kicking off from the end of this year worldwide, and from what we've seen so far from Sony looks like the PSP isn't going be providing the same amount of titles until atleast mid next year at the earliest.

But again, this is a fanboy topic, and that's shown even before any of us clicked on the thread title.

Colin, their 'business plans' have nothing to do with when they go online. However I agree with your points. I also think they can be comparable though, NIntendo never went online, but people still compared - "Xbox live is awesome, on Gamecube you can only play Phantasy Star online!!" etc.

Wtf? You insult all the sony fanboys and yet your being a ninty fanboy now, give Sony Microsoft and Ninty all a fair chance! I find ninty the best, but I still like sony.

Sony fanboys are idiots. Sony's main export is TV's and hi-fi's, for god's sake. You can't be a fanboy for that unless you buy each new generation of Sony TV as well as their consoles. :P

And while this might be a "fanboy topic", Colin from Kent, you're on "Revolution Europe" forums. It basically goes without saying.

Lol...............................OOOOOO.KKKKKKKK, so, do you need my house address aswell?

Anyway, if you've been around here for a while then you should know by now that fanboys are looked down upon by others, and at the end of the day we're here to play great games and rave about them...........no matter what platform they're on. It's your loss if you want to miss out on other quality games that either Microsoft's or Sony's consoles can offer.

And if you want to be that much of a Nintendo fanboy, then jog on to the NOE forums...............you'll feel right at home there.

He may be a complete fanboy and is being a complete jackass but i think thats a bit cruel towards the NOE forum goers. Although there is alot of spam and fanboyism (is that a word) going on there are also some well respected members that make good posts and bring up good points. Saying that has only reduced yourself to his level by moaning about fanboys. I myself quite often post on the NOE forums and i am certainly not a fanboy idiot.
