i am about to buy a 20gb Jap PS3 for £240 and i know i need a step down (or is it step up converter) any how i found this, would this be ok? for a jap PS3 to be used in a UK?

dont buy a ps3 ... period ....
just pretend you have no choice and its not convertable....
get a 360 instead ....
you thank me when bioshock comes out ...
youll be so thankful towards my advise, youll offer me your 2 youngest daughters ....(when the time comes)>.............

basically.. if you buy a ps3 youll be BRANDED a loser forever .....
you want to be branded a loser ???
i wouldnt want to be branded at all... much less a loser...much less a loser FOREVER ...that would suck ass....

ppff...you got to watch yourself in this world there compsci....
converter problems...pff...thats not even the half of it ....

That step down looks like it would work. I had one just like it for my Japanese Gamecube and it worked fine.

But as guarana said....buy a 360!

PS3 is actually better for next gen Japanese made games than the 360 or the wii,
