Wii Skin Instalation Video

I think there was a thread on these skins a few months ago, but i can't find it.

But yeah, if you go to decalgirl.com they have loads of great skins for your Wii and controllers.

I ordered one and it delivered yesterday (i think it took about a week and a half to arrive).

Black Wii will come when a black XBOX 360 or white PS3 comes.. just like the pink PSP came when the pink DS lite was announced.
It is for attention later in the console lifecycle to compliment price drops and bundles.

Since you said they're easy to remove, I might check them out... but I'm really happy enough with my Wii being white for now, Ive not many complaints as far as that goes.

Yeah, I'd be wary as well about getting water near my Wii, could result in catastrophe!

ah good idea, here it is, i got a matching skin for wiimote/nunchuck and classic controller cuz they come at a discount with the console skin, then a different skin for my second wiimote so i can tell them apart :heh:

That's why it took me ages, i'd get one peice on, notice a small bit out of alignment, take it off and try again until i was satisfied

Oh my god, that looks so, so, so, so x1000000 tacky it's untrue. There is definitely no way I would skin my Wii now. Each to their own though, I guess.

Anyway, I think I'm gonna order a nippon skin and a stars and stripes skin for my american and my japanese Wii's (when I get them). Will be a nice way to keep them seperated :)

no doesn't make it slippy at all.

as for the lenght of the vid, well in the talking parts i do tend to ramble, it's in my nature, and speeded up part is alrady at like 5 times normal speed, plus i wanted to get some music into it :heh:


And to everyone who doesn't like the skin, too each their own, me, as much as i love my Wii, white is not my favorite colour, it's just too plain and boring and "friendly", i like to be different :awesome:

Personally if I was going for a customised design on the system I would get it airbrushed on.

I'm not a fan of the skin (if you wanted a plain black one, Decalgirl already has it), but it looks pretty okay. Why do you keep your Wii hidden inside that shelf? It should be outside, displayed in a position that lets everyone see it! Put it on top of your TV or something.

Talking about Wii skins, the Link one for the front of your Wii in the new NOM is pretty good. There's also an NES controller one and a pink one for your wiimotes. These aren't as good I don't think. My NES one wasn't printed all that greatly and the edges stick out the sides of the remote a little which will probably result in them getting fucked up and tatty in no amount of playtime at all.

I saw their plain black, but didn't like it, didn't seem to give a proper effect of a black Wii that Nintendo showed, plus like i said in the video, I think the design and colours work really well (IMO) especially when the blue light is on.

And it's not hidden in a shelf, the doors are only closed when the house is empty, if i'm in the room the doors are open, weather or not i'm using the Wii/DVD player, it's right under the TV so it's kinda hard to miss.

Knowing my luck some paint would leak into the console and damage it, and one would think that that would void the warranty... and i only like the kind of apple i can eat :wink:

I have played for at most 4 hours in a row one day since the skin was put on, zero effect/damage to it, it's a quality skin, one would think they'd factor in long play time and console heating... i don't think the Wii heats up that much anyway
