Ok so first thing's first; either forgive me for offending you OR accept this humble apology; Fuck you.
Ok! So. When you die, what happens next? What do you want to happen to your body? Any special funeral requests? If you had to have a song played at your funeral, what would it be? If you could have a famous person giving a speech, who would it be? HOW would you like to die?
Problem with this thread; I haven't thought about my own answers. Feel free to respond with your answers to any or all, and I'll feel free to reply later.

I don't believe anything happens after death, meh, non-existance sounds pretty sweet to me but heaven would kick too. Second most likely to me would be reincarnation, but anything other than ceasing to exist seems a bit unrealistic.

There is no hell. The fleeting seconds before you die are stretched and skewed by your brain into lasting for what you perceive to be an eternity. Whether or not you die with guilt and regret will determine what that eternity will be like.
I think I got this from thetoiletonline.com but I'm not sure. As for how I want to die? Having sex on the toilet with Jessica Alba because :1. Shes really hot. 2. You crap yourself when you die. And finally 3.Cuz I would be immortalised for having sex so good I died. :D

I don't really want to die - but when I do I'd like it do be dramatic. But the worst thing that could happen is dieing before your parents do. Imagine seeing them in that pain, having to bury their child.

There is no body to bury or cremate, but if there was any kind of memorial service, all my favourites would have to be played, and people would get blasted with some extreme metal. yay.

I always believed in re-incarnation after death. I'm bound to get some funny looks, but to me seems the most logical outcome. It does seem to have a balance on the universe as well. Read up on Buddhism for more detail.
No special funeral requests. Feed my corpse to the elephants for all I care.
As for a song, like above don't care, though I wouldn't mind Don Henley giving a speech at my funeral ^^.
I don't know how I would like to die, maybe of something which will puzzle the police, autopsy guys, everyone. Yeah, something like that.

No famous person giving a speech at my funeral because I don't know any famous person, so they wouldn't know me. Why'd I want a stranger giving me a speech?
Do you realise? would be played at my funeral as a message to them attending it.
No special requests.
I wouldn't care what happens to my body, donate it to science if you like.
I don't know for sure what happens next but I am thinking something along the lines of: your brain stops working and so do all other physical functions.

After you die you simply rot away, that's it.
Reincarnation, the afterlive, heaven (whatever you want to call it) is just something people made up. People want to believe in some sort of afterlive simply because they want their relatives and themself to live on (who doesn't?).
As for my funeral, hopefully somewhere in the distant future, I have no special request's (I won't live to see it anyway hehe). As for my body: doctors may plunder it for spare parts if they need them.

I'd donate all the organs i could. I dont want my family wasting their money on a coffin etc (IMO its a waste, i get other people would feel different.)
and i'd like scattered somewhere beautiful like the top of a mountain or somethin. I dont know if theres an afterlife. i guess ill find out one day

After death I don't think anything at all happens.
For my funeral I'd like it to be as enjoyable as possible for the folks there. Some of my best get togethers with family have been after a funeral, it's sad that on the rare occasions I get to see a lot of my extended family it takes something like a death to get the people together.
I dunno about the actual "service", but to get rid of my body I'd like it putting on a viking style long boat, doused in petrol, set out to sea or the middle of a huge lake or something, and then all my family and friends could shoot flaming arrows at it. It'd be awesome! Any kids there would think it was the coolest thing they'd ever seen.

i want fireworks and karaoke at my funeral and a musical based on my life, i want my loved ones to enjoy their lives, i don't wish grief on any of them. i think your soul leaves your body the instant you die so i'm not that bothered about what happens to my corpse, as for what happens to my soul though, i'm not sure what will happen to it.

I want to be buried in a coffin that is stuffed with bug repellants so of I ever come back as a zombie I'll still be good looking. Im dieing Wednesday, April 12th 2062. With this in mind I would like to change my previous way of dieing as Jessica Alba would be older and wrinklier than me. Or dead. Id say nothing happens at all, When you die you just cease to be "concieous" ie the little atoms in you body that make up cells no longer interact a way that appears to be be a living creature.
However I do believe in an afterlife of sorts, Which i think the idea of heaven and hell is a metaphor for. Basically When you die your remembered by other people and that memory is your afterlife. If you're remembered by people for you good deads then that will be coined as heaven, and remembered for bad ones is coined as hell. thats why you should try to be good in life, as you should want to be remembered as a good person when you die, as its the only bit of you that lives on.

I think I share your opinion here and stuff. I don't really see afterlife as being another real life you get to live, but moreso as your soul living on in the people that knew you and remember you.
There could be some sort of afterlife, but yeah, we won't know it till we're dead. And maybe then we won't even find out just because there's nothing left and we can't think about it and stuff. It feels kind of strange to me to think of there suddenly being nothing anymore, that you can't think anymore...
For the other questions, I'd like to die in my sleep (wheeee, I don't like pain and drama) and I think I'll donate my organs and stuff. After that, I'd like my body to be cremated. I don't really care what they do with my ashes. They can keep them in a box or spread them around or whatever. They can even turn my ashes into a diamond if they want, though that might be a bit too expensive maybe. ='3

Its a tres morbid topic but ah well. First off I'll state, I never want to die. Nor grow much older, twenties will be okay but after that it gets scary and you start deterriorating. I like being young and verile.
That being said, I don't see an afterlife. At least not at the moment, my views change. I like the Wiccan philosophy that when you die if you're life is not complete as so to speak you come back again many times until everything is hunky dorey. Something like that, been a while since I read about it.
I think I'd rather have a non-traditional funeral, as in not in a church. Something somewhere grassy and nice but not in a graveyard as I'm not Christian, let them lot fill up the space. Similar to if I ever got married it would be a handfasting instead of a wedding but thats a different story.
Songs and stuff, bah dunno. My music style will change when I get older, at the moment it might be something emotional, such as good old Sarah McLachlan, maybe even "Full of Grace" cause that's my anthem lately. Famous people, meh don't care. If I become a scriptwriter (fingers crossed) may happen, but not too fussed. Plus the famous people I know now won't be around when I'm old and die (yeah I know I said I don't want to get old but I also don't want to die young).

I sometimes think what'll happen after Death. I believe that there is a Heaven and re-incarnation. I also believe in spirits and ghosts, i wanna come back and haunt people for a laugh.

Then at the 'funeral'. No church/graveyard stuff for me no thanks. I wanr my death to be mysterious, like 'he got blown up, but there were strange signs in the farmer"s field the other day'. Getit? Probably not.
Millions would be spend on my funeral, people would build a temple visible from space from pure gold and platina or whatever that's worth shitloads. Then Lost Prophets and QOTSA and Foo Fighters en Rammstein would blow through the speakers at maximum volume, while all quests attend in the banket of lust. Yup, orgy at my funeral please. Masses of booze and hot chicks and awesomely decadent stuff, like cocaine falling from the sky and stuff, and fountains of virgin blood. Millions of people would attend it and they would know who I was.
My remains? Buried deep in a secret location that will occupie thousands of treasure hunters for millions of years to come. Indiana Jones 18, anyone?

All I can add is; I do not accept your apology, but just to let you know that someone I knew not-very-well (friend of a friend) died in a car crash today. You are not the only person who has had to deal with death in your life. I don't know the circumstances behind your reaction (maybe it's my name? That does it for enough people), but I don't care.

You HAVE to realy live your life to the fullest, it can be over in a snap.
I have come to accept death, i don't fear it and i don't understand why people have trouble talking about it.
Everyone you know and love will die some day, if you can't accept that now, then you're in trouble.
If you don't like talking about death, just don't enter the thread and do not tell people to fuck themselves. Not a good way to earn respect.

I dont know if any of you heard, but theres been some research into the burial of the dead, which suggests some of the buried actualy come to life (I wont believe it til i get some rock hard evidence).
Imagine how scary that would be, just waking up in an enclosed box, no way out, just to suffer all over again.

People have been buried alive as long as people have been buried.

Hmm... you would have to wake up pretty soon after they buried you i think, or air running out quick would mean you'd just die properly in your sleep i suppose. snopes.com (i think) has stuff about people being prematurely buried.

I have word from a higher authority that death is just the next stage in our evolution and there are many stages after that . Anyway, when i die i want my body stuffed by a taxidermist and passed round the family so ill never really be missed .A cheery grin will be permanently etched on my face and an arm held aloft in eternal waving . May i never fall into the hands of some sad necropheliac though.
