Author JK Rowling has revealed the title of the seventh and final Harry Potter book.
The book will be called Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
The announcement was made on the writer's official website. Fans must play a game in order to find out what the title is.
This week Rowling, 41, revealed how she has gone back to writing in cafes - as she did 13 years ago when starting to write about the boy wizard.
She has also admitted how she has been dreaming of the character.
Writing on her website she described it as an "epic dream" where she was Harry and the narrator simultaneously.
'Elated and overwrought'
In a recent blog the writer said she has been working hard on the last book.
"I'm now writing scenes that have been planned, in some cases, for a dozen years or even more," she said.
She also described feeling "alternately elated and overwrought" at writing it and joked she cannot decide if she wants to finish it or not."
I can't wait for this book, hopefully it wont take too long to come out...

Harry Potter and the Deadly Gallows I hope. If he doesn't die in this book, its going straight in the fireplace, and I mean that. If he does, it will be a perfect ending to a good series.

He'll obviously die. And Ron will become a Hentai director and Hermione will have to sell her body in order to further her studies. And Hagrid will dig up Dumbledore's corpse and bone it like it's never been boned before while Harry investigates the defiling of Dumbledore's grave.
All of us with the advance copy have known this for years. Geez!

Harry is really living in two minds and is actually Voldemort, thus his whole life was a dream and he woke up happily ever after. The ending despised by primary school teachers however you heard it here first.:heh:

It doesnt matter what the name of the book is either! I dont really think its bad anyway, just get over it.

My only disappointment is :-

Still, will enjoy the movie!

Anyway, looking forward to this. I really liked the last book. Very dark and stuff. Had some scary moments for me (that lake part) and it also made me cry. So yeah, looking forward to this. =D

yes why does everyone think he will die?
Because otherwise she'll be swarmed with companies wanting to publish further stories! And the prophecy says so! They shall each die at the hand of the other, and neither may live whilst the other does, or something like that. I think the prophecy meant they will both die at the same time, or within close proximity, at the hands of each other. I have done for a long time too, so that boy better die!

The story will be Harry will go on a mission to gather 3 seperate shards to defeat the evil voldemort. However Voldemort's sidekick steals these 3 shards after Harry had just gotten the last one.
Thus He goes on a journey to a desolate place and find a certain object that will allow him to travel to another world. He is told that this certain object has been smashed so he must gather 3 more pices of it to make it work again. So he goes again to find these pieces.
Harry gets the pieces, opens the portal and defeats Voldemort..the end.
Ron dies of Aids.

Well Harry Potter of course stays the same.
Hermione = Hermelien Griffel
Ron = Ron Wemel
Dumbledore = Perkamentus
Draco Malfoy = Draco Malfidus
Especially the less important characters like other students and teachers have different names. For that reason the movies are kinda confusing (without subtitles). Would be the same with the books in English I bet.

Honestly, i can't wait for the book either but my brother won't buy it untill the translation makes way to our shores. And the translation sound stupid. Since when is "gruziel" the same as "ziel"?
I think the Dutch translation is done very well and have no complaints about it at all. I don't want to try and "look cool" by reading the English one, when the Dutch one will be a lot easier to read and understand. *shrugs*

Why couldn't it have a cool cover like Halfblood Prince.
Here are the full covers:
UK Children's edition (http://www.mugglenet.com/viewer/?image_location=/dhcovers/hp7childuk.jpg)
UK Adults' edition (http://www.mugglenet.com/viewer/?image_location=/dhcovers/hp7adultuk.jpg)
US edition (http://www.mugglenet.com/viewer/?image_location=/dhcovers/hp7childus.jpg)
I agree that the UK version is hideous - quite possible the worst of the seven books. It's really garish, and the characters look red-faced and ugly. Good job for Rowling that people won't be judging this book by its cover.
