Nintendo is planning to release a DVD option for the Wii. Todays poll is un-scientific but would give an idea of how many people actually play DVD's on thier console be it PS2, XBOX etc :)
PS: Mods make this sticky :)

At the moment, I've got a standalone DVD player. At home, we have about 2 or 3 dvd players. One in the living room, one in my brother's bedroom, and then an xbox in the frontroom.
At the moment, where I'm living, I use a standalone DVD player.

The 360 upscales DVDs via VGA which qualifes it as my primary DVD player. It will also play HD-DVDs if I can ever find the fucking drive on sale anywhere.

All i use my 360 for nowadays is to play DVDs.
if i had a console that played dvd's I would definitely use it to play dvd's. However, i have a divx capable dvd player in the post so i expect i will use that even once i get a dvd enabled console.

Yep, I play them on my 360, getting a media remote for it so I don't have to keep using the fecking controller to play them.

Ai i would hate to have to use the controller. Thank god i got the mini media remote with my 360 xD
Until very recently, the only DVD player in the house was my PS2. Didn't need one really, we recorded stuff with good old VHSs.
Although now I just watch dvds on my laptop, much more handy.

Yeah, I was hoping you still got one when I bought my 360, but getting one for christmas so DVD watching should be much less annoying now. I especially hate when you have to change an episode or something and it's fecking gone and switched itself off.

The only console I have that plays them is PS2, and I haven't played a dvd on it for approximatly 4 years.
Wait... does the first x-box play dvds? I haven't even tried on that...

I watch them on my Xbox 360, so I don't need DVD playback on my Wii.

Nope, I use my Multi region player so I can get Anime & Kaiju DVDs not released in PAL. I'll soon be using it for South Park too.
