I an going to buy a 0.5m audio cable but what is better for that short distence a normal audio cable or a gilded cable. is there any notisable sound difference?

Common known as gold plated. Unless you have fantastic speakers, and I am talking about Studio Reference Speakers that usally cost between £1000-2000 then there is little point. The interfence you get from a normal cable is so descrete its impossible for the average speaker to output it, and there is noway you would notice the difference.

Nah, you won't notice the difference. Best just to stick to copper.

No harm in going gold though. They aren't exactly pricey.
