Ok, I just noticed that the microphone isnt as clear as it could be, does any one else have this problem?

It records alright, but I would of thought the quality would of been much higher, atleast my Nintendogs respond to the commands, having a bit of trouble with them recognising its name :wtf:

I can't say how clear the microphone should be, but a quick tip: dont breathe into it. Try and speak over it rather than down on it. The sound of your breath will distort the recording.

My dog listens amazingly well to it's name, yet I have problems with my lie down command, so it's the other way around here. My dog's name is murphy, so I bet the ds recognizes "urph" and "y". I can even call my dog at different intonations and it still listens. My advice is then to pick a name with distinguishable sounds.

Don't speak to close to it. My brother use to lift his DS to his face, and it just came out as "Blargh".. aka jargon.

Actually, I thought the exact same thing and I was a bit dissapointed but here, I found out why it was a little bit harder for you to call the dogs by voice, make sure that you have fed the enough food and enough water/milk for them to be happy.

The more happy they are they easier it will be to control them. :)

The DS mic is really cheap, hense theres an expansion headshot slot next to the headphone.
