Well well well guys in two weeks time we will finally have our Wii's and will no doubt be playing like mad. So hows everyone feeling about it? What are you gonna do to kill the time?

I got that constant excited feeling about three days ago and now I can't stop thinking about it so thats gonna make the time last longer.
Really dunno how i'm gonna kill the two weeks i'm thinking lots of Rainbow Six as i've got most of next week off work but the last week should go quick cause I have a full week of work.

xbox + 4 top games is only £50 at argos. I want to cancel my wii becasue of the price and average launch games. This xbox looks more fun as a stop gap until the 2nd gen wii games are released.

My excitement has written fever pitch now, I simply cannot wait.

But at the same time it is dulled by the fact that I'm a student so keep thinking maybe I can't afford to buy it, but I've thought sod it get some money out of the savings account!

As for what to do until then....simply put essays, got a mammoth one in for the 7th December (talk about good timing)

What time I do have for gaming is taken up with Football Manager 2007 (PC) and XIII on the xbox (please ubisoft bring us another game in this style!)

I'm pretty damn hyped up. Hyuped if you will.

Although I'm not looking forward to my bank statement after purchasing the Wii. I have rent and utilities due the week beforehand, and Im debating picking up another Wii if there is sufficient suply.

Currently playing: Phoenix Wright, Killer7, Resident Evil (GC) and Ocarina of Time.

That should fill the void.. strangely I'm not playing them that hardcore though.. maybe I'm saving myself for the virginal Wii experience.

Well I'm off to Germany on Wed morning for 4 days with 7 mates to see the Uefa cup game against Frankfurt, that should keep me busy.

The annoying thing is, I've had about a month off work and the Wii comes out 3 days before I go back.

Played some 42 ATCL last night on my DSl for first time in a while. Will continue using DS until I have Wii. Then I will probably forget about my DS for a short (possibly long) period of time, until a game is released that I can use the DS with.

Unless there is one at launch? Is there?

I'll be playing non stop Gears of War, also got Splinter Cell: DA off Play.com for half price and Viva Pinata is out next week, plus I've recently bought Trauma Centre and Mario Kart on DS.

Got loads of games, so I'm not even that mad for Wii right now, because I'm quite busy with things anyway.

Also got to get 54,000 kills in Dead Rising.

i'm playing Ocarina of Time (just at the start of the forest temple), Gears of War that Caris has been beating me up over cos i haven't finished it yet :'( :hehe: , then theres N3 PGR3 and CoD 3 on the 360 to keep me going and Pokemon FireRed and Ruby that i've just started again on and then theres all my uni work and japanese stuff to keep me going till next may sometime-too much for me to do :(

Next Week i will be playing warcraft a lot (ON Agamaggan look out for DannBrutii of the horde!)
As for the launch week:
I should be getting the wii at a midnight launch so most of Thursday will be spent sleeping to offset the lack of sleep i will get that night!
The four days before launch i will be giving my entire house a really good clean (and i mean obsessively clean!) so that my house will be worthy of containing a wii!

I'm also playing through Ocarina of Time. Most likely the only game I'll be playing (PES always gets played aswell) between now and 8th Dec. Also got a fair amount of Uni work that needs doing.

I was planning to freeze myself a week ago, but was unable to find a suitable location.

I've just finished Four Swords Adventure, and am now playing through Links Awaking DX. Other than that, the amount of uni work should keep me occupied. (and virtually everything is due in before the 8th)

I'll be getting my exams the seventh to the eighteenth. Wich means that there won't be a) so much Wii (parents love this one) b) not so much learning (wich I love). On the Wii day itself I'm going to have a phiolosophie-test about Kant and some of his close companions. Pretty boring stuff, but great teacher (he actually searches for points just to make you pass the test - he knows that philosophie isn't given to anyone). In the meanwhile i'll be replaying every Zelda that I have in my possession (Majora's Mask is the best. No Doubt.) and scraatch of a day every day on my countdown timer. Oh, and keep thumbs up for my local shop to have more than 13 Wii's on launch day. Else, i'm screwed.

I'm playing through Yoshi's Island 2 to fill the void. With the amount of work I've got at the moment, that shoud easily take me up to the 8th, and I doubt I'll be able to finish the game 100% by then either. I'll also have the December bugs and fish to look for in Animal Crossing next weekend, too, which will no doubt take a while.

Guys, I've got to fill the void until Christmas Day (when I get my Wii + Zelda). I've also got mocks in January, so I'm starting revising earlier. I'm playing through OoT at the moment (near the end) then I'll probably play Majora's Mask (never played it).

Then theres looking into maybe getting a router. that Linksys ive posted about before i now have worries that it might not work well.
Then theres the one in the ONM mags. Does that have WPA so i can have my Wii hooked up to it? is it secure enough to have WEP for the ds aswell?
questions questions questions i need to answer/find an answer.

I don't know about you guys but as launch day is getting closer the fear is starting to set in. The shop I've preordered from will be getting 15 Wiis in and I placed my order on 23rd Sept but I'm still paranoid that somethings going to happen to make me miss out. Guess I won't feel at ease until my Wii's safe in my hands :hmm:

To pass the time I've tried reading lots of reviews and magazines, playing all my old cube games (currently working through SSBM again), contemplated renewing my WoW subscription and even joined a gym  That's how desperate I've become.

As Cartman said the closer to launch it gets the more time slows down. It's like waiting for Christmas times 1000.

To pass the time, alongside the fair amount of homework I seem to have - I've been trying to complete Kingdom Hearts 2. After around 15 minutes boredom starts kicking in and it soon hurts to play. But I must complete it!

I'm also planning to finish my Ocarina game (where I'm at the Spirit Temple) and my Majoras game (Where I'm at the Stone Temple, though I only have 7 hearts...). That'll keep me going.

Can't believe I played that as a kid. What a retarded corrupt ass elitist community that game is.

Ultima Online was much better and rewarding socially and game-ly

I've just discovered HD versions of the 1up show, I really enjoy the show.. i'm working through the last few weeks of episodes right now.

Ive been hyped for the Wii for a very long time now, and the only thing that helped and still helps is just not thinking about it. To be honest, I'm not really that excited about the Wii anymore, but even when I look around in this forum I'm getting more and more excited :P Not playing many games lately anyway, but I guess that's going to change when I've got a Wii :) I'll be very lucky to get one on 8 December, because I don't think there will be a midnight launch where I live, and I've got to go to school the next day before I have time to go to the shop :(

I've had that constantly excited feeling for a while now, probably since I played one, although it subsided over the weekend. It came back last night though, I dreamt it was launch day already, but for some reason I was bringing my dad to buy it, and for some reason we spend ages faffing around at home, then we got half way there and I had to go back because I'd left my preorder reciept on my fridge. stop being so bitter.... they've sold a wii every single second of the day since the USA launch.

Just because you obviously went to some dodgey village store that didn;t place a big enough order... my local game has received more than it's initial order, so your point about nintendo deliberately limiting supply is nonsense.

1... do you live in some empty wasteland? Hull perhaps. I don't live in a big city and even the smaller of our two branches of game is getting 50+ units.

2... there will be more on sale before xmas.

3... as the wii uses old tech, nintendo can crank these out at an amazing rate you'll get one soon enough. And if you go to non-specialist retaillers like woolies, currys, tesco, or argos on launch day i reckon you'll get one.

But then I stumbled across a 5 pound voucher code which is J3PW74
so i cancelled my game pre-order of wii play then re-ordered with the code

Speaking of dreams I had one about the Wii last week, in which, after bringing my Wii Console Box home and opening it, discovered a Gamecube inside! You can imagine my disappointment.

Is there a Wii play shortage then?

I hope this doesnt become a habit. Last night I went to bed 15 minutes early, nothing was on tv. When trying to go to sleep i thought '9 days'.
This made me want the wii even more.
I hope it doesnt happen every night, need to keep my mind occupied elsewhere.

It sometimes feels as though Europe are getting the left-overs doesn't it? :heh:

 We so are! Cheeky Nintendo. Taking the p*ss out of us Europeans!

Still love em though! I try to leave them, but always come back for more!

My local GAME in Wood Green in London mentioned that consoles would be scarce on the ground in the 8th but they were getting in plenty of games and accessories. Could be bollocks though.

I do love all this pre-launch rumours etc..it's all so exciting!

I walked into GAME today.

Bear in mind that I've been working overtime for nearly two months, and I haven't been to a single games store for at least that amount of time.

Went into my local GAME to see if there were any cheap PC games... saw the Wii display... and I promptly turned into a 10-year-old, grinning like a lunatic and drooling over all the game cases. :D Shame there were no accessories displayed, I want to see if we get Wiimote covers and dog tags.

Unbelievable that the launch is next week. We've been waiting for two years or so.

I hope those dog tags flop harder than free willy.
Stupidest marketing gimmick ever.

Haha, I wouldn't buy those dog tags either. Truth be told, 90% of accessories are pointless/gimmicky/cheap crap.

But I have to admit I would take a look at other Wiimote straps. I'm not about to start flinging my arms around like a madman, but the fact that the Wiimote is only tethered to your wrist by a flimsy piece of string is a little worrying...

Especially when you know the kids (big and small) in your family will want to have a go on Wii Tennis.

My local GAME said there would be a shortage of games and accessories. The guy said they would be selling them on a first-come-first-served basis. So no pre ordering:mad:

I think that's total bollocks though. As I said in the pre order thread: isn't that the point of pre ordering things so you can actually get what you want? My Game=stupid.
