Hi

If i picked up an s-video lead for the gamecube like this:

http://www.videogamesplus.ca/product_info.php?cPath=21_69&products_id=8292

and plugged it into my computer would that actually work? or does it need to be plugged directly into my pc monitor for it to work?

Maybe it is just better to go for a VGA box.

Thanks :)

It works, but I found the s-video input from the graphics card to be a bit laggy. It made ssbm pretty much unplayable.

Don't know if anyone reads this but I decided to post this anyway.

On vlc there was an option for "caching". The default value for that was 200ms which caused the lag. When I just set it to 0, 5 or 10 I didn't notice any annoying lag. The caching is there probably for vcr's and such. Setting it to 0 will probably cause some frames to be dropped, but I didn't notice anything that disturbed gaming while I experimented with it.

Only problem that I now face is the fuzzy quality of the composite image, but there's not much I can do about it. Media player classic showed the picture without lag. But the picture was stretched. Luckily that can be fixed with numpad 8. And after applying deinterlace and sharpen shaders the picture quality isn't so bad. I'd say it's almost better than on normal tv.
